Employee Spotlight: Tommi Lind, Head of Legal at Ropo

In this Employee Spotlight, we introduce Tommi Lind, our Head of Legal, who joined Ropo earlier this autumn.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, Tommi also serves as Ropo’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) and is a member of the executive management team of Ropo Suomi Oy.

“I provide legal advice across the business operations of the Ropo Group, and I work to develop the operations of the Finnish legal department. I also ensure that our legal department’s activities are strategically aligned with the company’s overall strategy,” Tommi explains.

During his first months at Ropo, Tommi has also become familiar with Ropo’s values in his day-to-day work. When asked which value resonates with him the most, his answer is clear.

“‘Unending drive’. At Ropo it quickly became evident to me that this organization lives off continuous development, client feedback, and value creation. It is uplifting to see this demonstrated consistently throughout the company, from frontline employees to senior leadership.”

This perspective naturally connects to Tommi’s personal motivation: new challenges. In his own words, they keep him focused and engaged, often leading to an expansion of skills. He is also genuinely motivated by environments that value human connection, empathy, and emotional intelligence.

When discussing office work and remote work, Tommi sees benefits in both.

“I see the value in both, but each has its challenges as well. Office environments foster spontaneous collaboration and better information exchange, while remote work offers unmatched flexibility and better focus.”

Ultimately, he emphasises that the most important factor is choosing a way of working that supports each individual.

“I believe any modern company should support a hybrid model that enables personnel to have a say in the setting that best suits their role, project, and personal preference. For me, the key is having the autonomy to work in a way that supports both productivity and well-being.”
