The company, which specializes in invoicing management and optimization, is the only operator in Northern Europe, offering a comprehensive invoice lifecycle platform.
The Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce’s Digital Committee awarded Ropo on November 28, 2024, highlighting the company’s significant investments in digitalization, bold international expansion, and software development. Ropo, which has grown to become the market leader in Northern Europe, stood out for its strong customer-oriented product development and internal expertise.
“Ropo is an inspiring example of a successful service exporter from Northern Savonia, growing from a local startup to a significant Nordic player. Ropo has actively leveraged global trends such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, responsibility, and the transformations in information and cybersecurity as opportunities for growth,” explained Tatu Säisä, Chairman of the Chamber’s Digital Committee, justifying the selection.
Ropo, with a revenue of over 100 million euros, employs approximately 400 people. A quarter of these employees work in software and technical development, focusing on system implementations and technical projects. The company aims to continue focusing its software development in this region.

The Digital Company of the Year award is presented by the Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce’s Digital Committee, which aims to highlight the regions’s ICT sector and high-level expertise. Previous winners include Ponsse Oyj (2022) and Newlcon Oy (2023),
