Ropo One™ UI Enhancements: Refining the Experience

Improving user experience is a key goal in our development efforts. Every day, thousands of users rely on Ropo One™ to manage invoicing workflows, answer action queries, update invoice designs and campaigns, and review reports and forecasts. As our daily interactions continue to grow, it’s crucial to ensure our platform remains seamless, accessible, and efficient.

This year, we are making measured UI refinements to improve consistency, usability, and accessibility while ensuring a smooth transition for users.

To explore the update and the design principles behind it, we sat down with Ropo’s UX/UI Designer Katrina Levenets, who has played a key role in the renewal process.

“Our goal was to create a product that feels modern and intuitive while maintaining the high level of reliability that our clients expect from Ropo,” Levenets explains. “We wanted to ensure that the design not only looks appealing but also helps users complete their tasks more smoothly”.

A More Intuitive and EAA-Compliant Interface

The Ropo One UI refinements is driven by a combination of factors, including client feedback, Ropo’s comprehensive brand refresh in May 2024, better compliance with accessibility standards such as European Accessibility Act (EAA) while maintaining a consistent and user-friendly interface.

Client surveys and user feedback helped identify opportunities to enhance consistency and predictability across the platform.

“We learned that many users work with different screen sizes, so we made sure the interface adapts seamlessly across devices, enhancing accessibility and usability,” explains Levenets. “By streamlining the interface and refining the user journey, we aim to make financial processes simpler and more intuitive.”

Ropo’s design principles align with the brand’s identity, emphasizing clarity, reliability, and functional approach. Simplicity, accessibility, and user-centric design are central to shaping our visual choices.

“We have prioritized user feedback to simplify workflows and make daily operations more efficient,” adds Levenets. “These refinements ensure that the platform continues to meet our clients’ evolving needs.

Key Improvements

The Ropo One UI updates introduce refinements that improve visual clarity, navigation, and accessibility without altering familiar workflows.

The update will be rolled out in phases throughout the year to ensure high-quality testing and a seamless transition for all users.

  • Phase 1 (Q1): Low-impact updates, including typography, icons, spacing, navigation, and layout structure.
  • Phase 2: High-visibility changes introduced gradually, with continuous client feedback. Updates will include colors, buttons, tables, modal dialogs, and input fields.
  • Phase 3: Design refinements for breadcrumbs and calendars to improve navigation and usability.

Enabling faster development

The UI update plays a critical role in Ropo’s product development strategy. By improving UI consistency and component reusability, these refinements will support a more efficient development process and future scalability. This streamlines development, enhances accuracy, and ensures visual consistency across the platform.

The renewal process has been a collaborative effort across various teams at Ropo, including UX designers, developers, and product owners.

“We worked closely with stakeholders to ensure that every design added real value to the user experience.” Levenets explains.

Looking ahead, Ropo remains committed to continuous improvement. “Our iterative design process ensures that we will keep gathering user feedback and refining the platform even beyond the initial rollout,” Levenets adds.

The Ropo One renewal not only aligns with the updated brand identity but also reinforces our commitment to delivering intuitive, high-quality financial management solutions that empower businesses to operate more efficiently.

What’s Next for Ropo One Users?

The first updates– refreshed colors and icons– will roll out in the coming months, followed by further enhancements to usability and accessibility features. Ropo will provide regular updates, support and guidance throughout the transition to help clients navigate the changes effortlessly.

At its core, this update is about refining the user experience to make the platform clearer, more intuitive, and more accessible—without disrupting familiar workflows, ensuring that every interaction enhances their capability to operate more efficiently.

By continuously refining the experience, we reinforce our commitment to usability, inclusivity, and providing a frictionless digital experience that supports our clients’ success.
