Storuman Energi is an electricity trading company rooted in Västerbotten that delivers electricity to customers across Sweden. To meet increasing demands for digitalization and customer expectations, the company is now taking the next step in its partnership with Ropo.
The collaboration with Ropo began in 2012 with paper invoice distribution. In 2025, it will expand to include Ropo’s comprehensive solution for invoice delivery, reminders, and collections. This new arrangement establishes a more integrated, digital, and efficient process that meets both internal needs and customer requirements.
“We see Ropo more as a partner than a supplier. There’s a sense of teamwork that ensures we’re moving in the same direction – and that is crucial for a successful project,” says Jerry Ådén, Invoicing Manager at Storuman Energi.

From manual to modern
The background for this expanded partnership stems from two key factors. On one hand, Storuman Energi seeks to fulfill increasing digitalization demands and customer expectations for modern communication channels – particularly the ability to offer invoices via Kivra. Previously, there was no solution for this, which led to many documents being handled manually or through limited digital tools.
“This change will bring a significant improvement by avoiding the need to send documents manually. Soon we’ll have a better flow, shorter lead times, and a solution that matches customer expectations,” says Jerry.
At the same time, a larger transformation is underway within the group aiming to harmonize systems and working methods between Swedish and Norwegian operations. Achieving this requires a more cohesive and scalable solution – with fewer suppliers and clearer responsibility distribution.
“We want as few suppliers as possible so we can focus more on our core business,” Jerry explains.

“We don’t want to simply follow up on deviations; we want to focus more on continuous improvements. It’s about developing processes and working methods together – with customer satisfaction as the priority,” Jerry concludes.
