For Skoogs Bränsle, managing invoice delivery through one partner while handling reminders and collections elsewhere created unnecessary complexity. Consolidating everything onto Ropo’s unified platform didn’t just simplify operations – it cut costs and freed up time for what truly matters.
When Skoogs Bränsle, part of Skoogs Group, decided to expand their existing invoice delivery partnership with Ropo to include reminder and collection management, the decision was driven by both operational efficiency and clear financial benefits.
“With Ropo already handling our invoice delivery, we could significantly reduce costs by consolidating more services with a single partner,” explains Camilla Ander, Financial Specialist at Skoogs.
The previous receivables management required considerable manual intervention. By bringing everything together under one platform in 2023, Skoogs Bränsle gained better pricing, unified processes, and a single point of contact for their entire invoicing workflow. The results: fewer manual tasks and substantial time savings.

Implementation built on partnership
Switching invoice management systems can seem daunting, but Ropo’s approach focuses on making every implementation as straightforward as possible. For Skoogs Bränsle, this meant clear timelines, well-defined responsibilities, and proactive communication throughout the process.
“We’ve never had to chase Ropo for updates. Whenever something came up, they proactively reached out with both information and a ready solution,” says Camilla.
The technical coordination was handled seamlessly. Ella Sevieri, Client Success Manager at Ropo, worked closely with Skoogs’ team to align file formats and content specifications with their internal systems, enabling a frictionless launch.
“This project exemplifies how we want to work – with transparent timelines, shared ownership, and close dialogue throughout the process,” notes Ella.
From manual tracking to intelligent automation
The expanded partnership enabled Skoogs Bränsle to redesign their processes and automate their invoicing flow. Previously, specific customer segments required manual handling. Now, everything runs automatically based on business rules that Skoogs helped design.
“We used to manually track different handling procedures for various customer types, but now it’s all automated. It’s become much smoother,” says Camilla.
Importantly, automation doesn’t mean loss of control. Skoogs maintains oversight throughout the process – no case advances to the next stage without their internal review and approval. This balance between automation and control has been essential for building confidence in the new workflows.
“We truly value being involved at every step. It allows us to adapt the process to our specific needs while saving considerable time,” Camilla explains.
Flexibility that fits your systems
One of the most significant improvements came from Ropo’s flexible approach to payment reconciliation. Previously, every incoming payment was registered manually at Skoogs Bränsle. Now, they simply export a payment file from their existing system and send it to Ropo.
The key difference? Unlike rigid standard solutions, Ropo adapted to Skoogs’ existing systems rather than forcing them to conform to a predetermined format.
“The implementation was so smooth. Ropo asked us for a file that our system could export, and then they built their solution around it. So simple for us as a client!” Camilla shares.
This flexibility exemplifies Ropo’s one-platform approach – bringing together invoice delivery, reminders, and collections in a unified workflow while adapting to each client’s unique operational reality.

Results that matter
Following the smooth implementation, Skoogs Bränsle moved from weekly manual checks to file-based processing. With invoice delivery, reminders, and collections now managed by a single partner on one platform, processes governed by their own business rules run automatically in the background.
The workflow has become faster, more reliable, and considerably smoother – delivering the time savings and cost reductions that make a real difference to daily operations.
