Tehden is a Finnish software company whose cloud-based enterprise resource planning system is used by nearly 600 companies. Steelstudio has been using Tehden for many years, as the system was already in place before Signell acquired Steelstudio in 2020.

In addition to point-of-sale and online store purchases, Steelstudio sends approximately 300 membership invoices each month. When an invoice is created in Tehden, the invoice data is transferred to Ropo through an API. Ropo handles invoice delivery and payment monitoring and receives payments through a client funds account. Ropo also investigates unclear payments and allocates them as needed, significantly reducing the amount of manual sales ledger work required.

With Ropo’s service, overdue payments are monitored and reminders are handled systematically and efficiently while maintaining a positive customer relationship. When a payment becomes overdue, reminders are sent through the same channel as the original invoice.

“A systematic reminder process is an effective way to influence payment behavior and reduce payment delays. If payment cannot be secured through reminders, the process can proceed to collections, which are always handled in accordance with legislation and responsible debt collection practices,” says Jani Rönkkö, responsible for Partner Sales at Ropo.

Ropo’s service also includes customer service related to overdue payments, which Signell sees as a valuable intermediary between the entrepreneur and the customer.

In summer 2026, Steelstudio transitioned to the renewed integration between Tehden and Ropo, introducing new features such as electronic invoicing.

“With Ropo’s service, we’ve been able to increase the share of electronic invoicing. This has generated cost savings while also improving the reliability of invoice delivery. Electronic invoices are also much more convenient for customers than paper invoices,” Signell says.
