Low margins and fierce competition set high demands on companies in the electricity market, making efficient operations and satisfied customers business-critical for the Norwegian energy group Skandia Greenpower. Through a fully integrated partnership with Ropo, Skandia has streamlined its invoicing processes, improved key metrics, and freed up time to focus on growth and its customers.
Euronext Growth-listed energy group Skandia Greenpower is behind the Norwegian electricity providers SkandiaEnergi, Saga Energi, and Motkraft.

The group sends out close to 700,000 invoices annually to around 55,000 private and business end customers. Of its 2025 revenue of NOK 539 million, the group posted a positive EBITDA of NOK 29 million. Low margins therefore make efficient operations and seamless processes a top priority.
“We’re in a low-margin industry, so commercial terms and strong operational performance are absolutely essential. We have no room for unnecessary intermediaries, friction, or manual processes. All systems need to communicate with each other, and everything needs to flow seamlessly,” says Tommie Rudi, CEO of Skandia Greenpower.
The entire invoice flow with one partner and one platform
In 2024, the Skandia group faced a transformation process that included both a shift to a new CIS system, UtilityCloud, and a need for more efficient solutions for invoice delivery and payment follow-up. The group chose a fully integrated Ropo One® Embed module, covering invoice delivery, accounts receivable follow-up, debt collection, invoice-related customer service, and analytics and reporting tools.
“We were impressed by what we saw Ropo could deliver. Changing both our core system and invoicing provider at the same time was a demanding decision for us. But looking back, I’m impressed with the solution and the onboarding, and now that we’re in daily operations, I’m convinced we made the right decision,” says Rudi.
Following a swift implementation process, the Skandia brands SkandiaEnergi and Saga Energi were up and running efficiently and reliably on the Ropo One® platform.
“Being able to bring the entire invoice lifecycle together in one connected, streamlined solution makes our everyday work easier. It has made our processes more efficient and delivered significant cost savings” says Rudi.

Built to support growth
Growth is a central part of Skandia Greenpower’s strategy, driven by both organic growth and the acquisition of new companies. The company therefore needed a partner able to scale and support new companies and customers joining the Skandia platform.
“We have strong growth ambitions and are expanding steadily. It’s important for us to have a partner who’s part of that growth journey and offers a scalable solution,” says Rudi.
By the end of 2026, the group is aiming for 100,000 end customers across its various brands.
“We’re confident that Ropo can support us in reaching that,” says Rudi.

Freeing up capacity in a lean organization
With high invoice volumes and a lean organization, the Skandia team relies on automated processes. Ropo’s solution handles the entire invoice flow from invoice delivery to payment with a high degree of automation and minimal need for manual follow-up. Ropo also handles invoice-related customer inquiries on behalf of the Skandia brands.
Regulatory changes such as Norway’s electricity support scheme and the ‘Norway Price’, the government’s fixed electricity price scheme, have contributed to a high volume of inquiries.

In 2025, Ropo handled more than 70,000 invoice-related customer inquiries.
“We send out a very high number of invoices and receive a lot of customer inquiries, so having a professional partner saves and frees up significant time and resources that we can spend on other priorities. For example, it has given us more time to invest in developing our app, improving customer service, driving more sales activity, and focusing on the tasks that generate revenue and that our customers value,” says Rudi.

Stronger metrics and improved cash flow
So far, the partnership has had a clear impact on key metrics. From 2024 to 2025, Skandia group’s revenue grew by as much as 76 percent, while receivables volume increased by only 19 percent.
Cash flow-related metrics have continued to strengthen. Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) has fallen by approximately 3.6 days, while the share of invoices paid on time is now close to 100 percent.
“We constantly pursue improvements on every front, especially the financial side. It’s great to see this kind of progress,” says Rudi.
Through the analytics tool Ropo OneView®, part of the Ropo One® platform, the company’s finance function and management have continuous insight into key metrics, payment patterns, and trends, providing a stronger basis for active credit management and decision-making.

A seamless system landscape
In terms of systems, the Skandia brands run on the CIS system UtilityCloud, while Motkraft – acquired by Skandia in 2024 – had until recently been on Metzum Moment. In 2026, all three brands were brought together on UtilityCloud.
The Ropo One® platform is closely integrated with both CIS systems, making it possible to manage invoicing processes across different platforms within the same setup. Rudi points out that the Ropo One® system and the migration between CIS systems have worked seamlessly in practice, both for new customers and for acquired companies.
“Whether it’s new customers we gain organically or acquired companies being implemented on the platform, it has worked flawlessly so far,” says Rudi.
Set up for flexibility and growth
The energy market is far from static. New regulations and tough competition place high demands on partners who can adapt and continue improving results over time.
“For us, it has been crucial to have a partner willing to evolve and adapt alongside us as the market and regulations change,” Rudi explains.
Going forward, Rudi and the Skandia group will continue working closely with the Ropo team to improve processes and support continued growth.
“We meet regularly to review results and look at what we can improve. It’s clear that Ropo takes our results seriously and works with us to keep developing the setup,” says Rudi.
