Product News

Sales Ledger in Ropo One®

Over the past year, Ropo has continued to invest in and evolve its sales ledger services as part of its long-term platform development. Driven by intelligent automation and customizable processes, Sales Ledger in Ropo One® now delivers smarter payment allocation, faster processing, and reduced manual work – supporting smoother cash flow, stronger control, and more accurate financial oversight.

Ropo’s sales ledger service is a core component of end-to-end invoice lifecycle management. In the background, Ropo One® automatically monitors payment terms, reminder and collection thresholds, triggers the next configured actions, allocates incoming payments, and continuously looks for opportunities to match payments with incomplete payment details to open receivables. Sales ledger functionality also plays a key role in enabling segmented late-payment workflows.

Today, payment processing in Ropo One® reaches a 98% automation level, ensuring that payments are allocated accurately and without delays. Automation is not just an efficiency metric – it strengthens operational reliability, reduces manual errors, and improves resource efficiency across day-to-day financial processes. With advanced automation capabilities already in place and new features continuously rolled out, automation levels are expected to move even closer to 99% during 2026.

All sales ledger capabilities are available to clients using Ropo One® Embed or Ropo One® Unify service modules. Sales ledger services can be further tailored through premium features, enabling customized workflows, business rules, and service configurations to match different business models, customer structures, and operational needs.

Key platform improvements driving automation and flexibility

Recent platform development focuses on strengthening automation while increasing customization and control:

  • Advanced segmentation to support client-group based customization across invoice and late payment processes

  • Automated grouping and credit note allocation, reducing manual adjustments

  • Automated payment handling, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and invoices are settled automatically even with incomplete payment details

  • Automated allocation of partial payments from authorities, further reducing manual processing

Continuous optimization for accuracy, clarity, and compliance

Alongside automation enhancements, Ropo continuously refines sales ledger logic to support consistent operations across markets and drive improvements identified through platform data and performance insights.

Recent updates include:

  • Upgraded credit note configuration logic, enabling clients to flexibly define how credit usage options are presented to end customers during the reminder phase

  • Refined interest calculation logic, supporting accurate and transparent handling of different due-date scenarios

Together, these enhancements further strengthen Sales Ledger in Ropo One® as a highly automated, configurable, and scalable service – helping companies streamline financial operations while reducing manual effort.

Technical Improvements

SSO login speed improvement

A significant improvement has been made to the SSO (Single Sign-On) login experience in Ropo One®. What could previously take up to a minute for users with thousands of profiles now completes in well under a second for returning users – even in high-volume environments.

The improvement applies automatically to all clients using SSO as their login method.

Country-Specific Updates

Finland

Invoice display service renewal

An update to Ropo’s invoice display service will be implemented on April 20, 2026, improving the way invoices are presented. When an e-invoice recipient navigates from their online bank or mobile banking application to view the original invoice, the invoice will now open in PDF format instead of the previously embedded image on a webpage.

The PDF format improves invoice image quality and makes it easy to download and save the invoice. The update also prepares for upcoming technical changes to online banking links. The update is applied automatically.

Online payslip service update

The Ropo online payslip service will receive a visual update on May 18, 2026, aligning its appearance with Ropo’s consistent service look and feel. All existing service features remain unchanged.

The same update adds technical support for the Online Banking Link 2.0 specification maintained by Finance Finland (Finanssiala). This link is used when navigating from a bank’s service to the operator’s online payslip service. Banks will adopt the new link version according to their own schedules.
