Ropo Technology Mid-Year Outlook 2026

Building Momentum Across the Platform

Every month, Ropo releases new features, improvements, and capabilities across the Ropo One® platform – each one designed with a single goal in mind: making our clients’ invoicing operations more efficient, reliable, and easier to manage. Now past the midpoint of 2026, it’s a good moment to pause and look at what these steady, continuous updates add up to – and what they mean for the businesses that rely on Ropo every day.

What’s driving this year’s development

Behind each month’s updates is a broader direction, founded on four cornerstones: smart digitalization and automation driving financial and operational excellence; purposeful AI solutions enhancing process quality, data protection, and forecasting; customer experience focused on seamless interactions, enhanced platform capabilities, and self-service features; and digital trust covering security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

The updates below reflect what that direction has looked like in practice so far this year.

The first half of 2026 in review

A smarter, faster way to work with invoices

One of the year’s biggest development initiatives has been the ongoing renewal of the Ropo One® invoice card, the central workspace for managing daily invoice-related tasks. Throughout the year, we’ve gradually replaced the previous accordion layout with a more intuitive tab-based structure, streamlined approval workflows and improved navigation to the action queries that require clients’ attention, and expanded in-platform communication and collaboration capabilities between Ropo and clients as well as within clients’ own teams. The result: less time spent navigating between screens, and more time spent on what matters.

Automation that keeps cash flowing

Sales ledger capabilities in Ropo One® have continued to mature throughout the year. After reaching a 98% end-to-end automation level this spring, we set out to push toward 99% during 2026 – and we’re proud to share that we’ve already reached that milestone, well ahead of schedule. In practice, this means fewer delays and bottlenecks tied to manual handling, more consistent processing, and payments that move through the system faster and more reliably from end to end.

Alongside this, we introduced the new Telecom Closing Service, which automatically manages subscriptions based on payment status, and a new REST API endpoint that lets clients bring end-customer invoice data directly into their own digital channels.

A frictionless payment experience, start to finish

Making payments as easy as possible remains one of our foundational priorities. In February, we introduced MyRopo Invoice, a new delivery method that uses MyRopo as the sole invoice destination. Recipients are notified when a new invoice is available, and a single click takes them directly to it. Invoice status is always up to date, and users can make instant payments, arrange payment plans, and contact customer service in one place, creating a seamless payment experience without downloads or additional steps.

We have also expanded MyRopo’s invoice matching capabilities. Users with a MyRopo ID now benefit from enhanced profile-based matching, enabling the service to automatically identify and display a broader range of relevant invoices. This improves visibility, reduces manual effort, and makes it easier to manage payments through a single, unified view.

Tools for developers and partners

In March, we launched the Ropo One® Developer Portal, giving integration partners centralized, always-up-to-date access to our API documentation. We’ve also introduced digital onboarding API, letting partners onboard new clients directly through their own integrations – with sanction list checks, KYC, and other background verification handled automatically, without back-and-forth emails.

What’s next for the Ropo One® platform

To close out this mid-year look back, we asked Ville Räsänen, Chief Product Officer at Ropo, to share his perspective on the year so far – and a preview of what’s ahead.

  • Looking back at H1 2026, what have been the biggest development efforts or proudest achievements for the product team?

“It’s hard to pinpoint just one or two efforts. We ship a full version release every month, and we’re taking huge leaps every month in delivering value to our clients and Ropo users. The overall work compounds every day – and that’s something to be proud of.”

  • What kind of feedback have you been hearing from clients about these updates?

“I personally follow all the feedback surveys we run throughout the year. The work with UX to make workflows simpler has been very well received, and it’s made our clients’ everyday work easier.”

  • Of the four focus areas for 2026, which one do you expect clients to notice the most progress on during the second half of the year?

“The most noticeable will of course be the UI/UX improvements and workflow changes, since that’s what every Ropo One® user sees and feels in their everyday work. The automation rate is another metric worth watching – it has a direct, positive effect on delivering a more frictionless process and a faster DSO.”

Continuous Platform Development

Ropo One® is updated regularly throughout the year to deliver new features, enhanced performance, and improved capabilities. Upcoming version updates for the remainder of 2026 are scheduled for September (week 38), October (week 42), November (week 46), and December (week 50). As always, update schedules and any planned maintenance are shared with clients well in advance.

Hear Ville expand on this year’s biggest wins – and what’s coming in H2 – in the video below.
